My current Global Citizenship IGCSE students have been discussing the state of the world's democracies and how democracy can be strengthened.
Our current government plans to lower the age of voting to 16 across the U.K.
Do you think this is a good idea? Are 16 year olds mature enough to vote?
Do they need more knowledge and understanding of how to vote and who they can vote for?
These are some of the questions we have been considering!
As part of their IGCSE Community action project, they have decided to raise awareness of this issue and run a FREE WEBINAR for home educated young people (age 10+).
This takes place on January 20th at 2pm. and will hopefully encourage young people to learn more about politics and democracy.
