About Get Key-Ed Up
Engaging Inclusive Learning
As a Qualified Teacher and home ed. mum, I specialise in supporting home ed. teens and their parents through the I/GCSE process.
I left my role as an Assistant Headteacher in 2013, to home educate my daughter and become self-employed.
Both of my daughters are now adults and I am enjoying exploring new life opportunities. My favourite times are spent in my motorhome, travelling around the UK and Europe. I spent nearly two years on the Isle of Arran and particularly enjoyed swimming in the sea throughout the year!

I developed my one-of-a-kind distance learning course during Covid, when my face to face work stopped. I love that it provides all of the appropriate resources and personalisation to maximise learning capabilities on a flexible time-frame. I have now added audio to every slide so support those that prefer this style.
We have a dedicated facebook group http://www.facebook.com/groups/environmentalmanagementforhomeed with further advice and resources and weekly drop in sessions available.

I also enjoy teaching weekly online lessons and particularly enjoy developing relationships with students throughout their studies. It is wonderful to see young people growing in confidence and ability.

Finally, I have developed several series of ad hoc lessons for 7-11 year olds. It's a joy to be part of a young person's journey in developing their understanding about Citizenship and the environment.
