This is the first unit of the Cambridge Environmental Management IGCSE course; Rocks and Minerals. Dates: January 7 Formation of Rocks January 14 Extraction of rocks, ores and minerals January 21 The impact of rock and mineral extraction January 28 Managing the impact of rock and mineral extraction February 4 Sustainable use of rocks and minerals February 11 Fossil Fuels & Energy resources HALF TERM February 25 Energy Resources cont. March 4 Energy Demand March 11 Management of energy resourves March 18 New Energy Resources March 25 Fracking EASTER All lessons are taught using detailed PowerPoint slides which support teaching and contain all the subject material needed for the IGCSE. No textbook or workbook is necessary. All lessons slides as a pdf, recordings and other resources will be placed in a google classroom each week. These will be accessible until Nov 2027. Lessons are payable per unit at £6 per student per lesson (total cost of entire course of live lessons plus recordings, slides, homework and marked assignments will be £306). The complete course will run until the end of March 2027, for the May 2027 exams. Each unit will be bookable separately.
