Theme 3 Culture and Community and the Citizenship Action Project This theme and the project group lessons consists of 14 lessons. These are: Sept 2 Converging Cultures Sept 9 Protecting Cultures Sept 16 Identity and Migration Sept 23 Global events and communities Sept 30 Changing Cultures Oct 7 Global Language and Communication Oct 14 Cultural Change în Emerging Economies (i) HALF TERM No lesson Nov 4 Cultural Change in Emerging Economies (ii) Nov 11 Revision of Theme 3 and past paper questions Nov 18 Theme 3 guided assignment lesson Nov 25 PROJECT Dec 2 PROJECT Dec 9 PROJECT Dec 16 PROJECT Christmas Holidays The theme assignment will be completed during the live lesson on Nov 18th. The deadline for marking will be 25.11.25 as we will then need to focus on the community action project. Please note that assignments submitted after this date will not be able to be marked (except for exceptional circumstances). The community action project is an essential part of this course and if students are unable to attend the LIVE lessons, they will need to arrange alternative 1:1 lessons with me during the month of December if they require help with their project. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND THE LIVE LESSONS DURING THIS TIME! Students are likely to need parental support to complete the project - so I'll be running some zoom sessions for parents and adding video and other information to the google classroom. It is ESSENTIAL that you are able to support the young people in actioning their projects within the time frame given as we will then have another theme to complete in the spring term, and will need time for revision and exam practice.
