Global Citizenship IGCSE Theme 1 Part 1

This is the first theme of the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE Global Citizenship IGCSE (9-1) (4GL1) This Theme is Politics and Government. Dates for the first half term are: Jan 7 Democracy and other governments Jan 14 Nation States Jan 21 Systems of Government Jan 28 Human Development Index Feb 4 What are Human Rights? Feb 11 Humanitarian Action in protecting human rights -Peacekeeping All lessons are taught using detailed PowerPoint slides which support teaching and contain all the subject material needed for the IGCSE. The course will include working on exam questions from the start. All lessons slides as a pdf, recordings and other resources will be placed in a google classroom each week. These will be accessible until June 2026. The complete course will consist of 50 one hour lessons. They will run until the end of March 2026, for the May 2026 exams. Each theme will be bookable half termly.
